Stop the presses! Oprah has something to tell us!

Among the top online headlines at this moment:

Oprah Calls Defense of Author 'a Mistake' - New York Times

Oprah Winfrey Says She is 'Deeply Sorry' - Washington Post

Oprah Admits Defending Frey Was 'Mistake' - Los Angeles Times

I'm sorry, but I just can't see why this is a major news story. If Hillary Clinton were to go on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and announce a 2008 presidential bid, that would be a major news story. But the host of a show changing her tune about a book that no one would even have heard about if she hadn't crowed about it in the first place--that is not a major news story.

That reminds me, I hope the Democrats are not stupid enough to nominate Hillary, who can't win.
