My latest election thought
I have decided I don't think that 48% of registered voters really believe that "the situation in Iraq" is the most important issue in this election. Rather, 48% of poll respondents decided that they could most effectively send a message by saying they thought that was the most important issue. They put the issue at the top because doing so made the most dramatic statement. But I'm not sure this means they truly think Iraq is the most important issue, or that they will actually vote on that basis.
