Shrouded in myth

The hometown paper ran a story today about the rescue of two murals from the library of the school where I attended first grade. It has been more than 30 years since I'd seen the mural they pictured, and I have no direct memory of it . . . but bits of it, mostly the roc and its egg (upper left quadrant), seem very familiar.
