Apple
If Apple software is so well conceived, why is it that the iTunes playlists are housed within the iTunes program itself and not stored anywhere in the iTunes library? Or, in more practical terms, why am I still rebuilding my playlists, more than a month after an internal hard drive crash, by referring to my iPod for the tracks on all the pre-crash playlists, then laboriously dragging and dropping all the songs into recreated playlists? Am I missing something? Can it really be intended for the playlists to be lost whenever iTunes is reinstalled?
