Cultural interlude

According to the cover of the "Fashion Rocks" supplement to The New Yorker, Jennifer Lopez has a "a new album, a new movie & a new attitude." I'd like to think that Mr. Shawn would have delicately struck out the ampersand and penciled in the full word "and". (Today, Shawn's spinning corpse could power the pencil sharpener.)

And don't miss Lopez on "Fashion Rocks: Fashion and Music Collide on a Star-Studded Night of Style and Sound", next Friday at 9 on CBS! www.fashionrocks2007.tv Hosted by international style superstar Jeremy Piven . . . and featuring the music of Fall Out Boy, Santana, Carrie Underwood and Usher . . . plus the debut of The Brothers Karamazov, a new opera from Fergie . . . libretto by Ludacris.

Oh dear--does this mean I'm destined to get two of this estimable publication? Because one already came with my Vanity Fair.

I loved your line about Shawn's spinning corpse powering a pencil sharpener--might just have to steal that one. ;)
