Mmmm . . . that's good bass!

Well, it's 2005 and this show exists. There isn't much I can add in the way of commentary. I ran across the show the other day. It looks like this:


What could be worse than a show debating the "issues" in tournament bass fishing? That's right, the same show with sketch comedy bits performed by actual professional bass fishermen. A guest who had finished second in several successive national bass-fishing events (forgive me for not remembering just which ones) participated in a series of filmed vignettes wherein, for example, he tried to order in a bar but was ignored until another patron ordered first--then he ordered two beverages and the bill came to $2.22 (get it?). Next, immediately following that scene, the same ill-starred actual professional bass fisherman (forgive me for not remembering his name) goes to check in at his hotel and is assigned room 222.

Surely it will be the final indignity of many a bass to be landed by someone who chuckled at this.
