This internet stock price thing cannot be sustained. It must prove to be a bubble. It can't keep going up forever, and when it stops and the speculators realize they have suddenly become the ones willing to pay the most for their shares, I doubt they will just decide to hold the stock and trust the absurd valuation. - MWR, email to a friend, January 5, 1999
