There seems to be something wrong with Durham district attorney Nifong

Mr. Nifong conceded he erred in not providing all of Mr. Meehan’s test results to defense lawyers months earlier than he did. "Obviously, anything that is not DNA from the people who are charged is potentially exculpatory information," he said. New York Times, December 24, 2006.
It's weird. Read the article. He's really made a hash of everything, including his career.

Nifong has deliberately witheld this evidence, in my opinion, and he should be drummed out of office. In fact, he shouldn't have won another term in the last election and if that evidence had been presented when it should have, he probably wouldn't have won. His 15 minutes are soon to be over.
