Still my favorite Google Groups post

well I have two SLR bodies and she things I have just have one SLR body ..she is not sure of how many lens i have and has No idea how much lens cost. Funny thing is she has ocaisnally used her as selftimer come tripod and u press this .. and has NOt noticed its a diffrent camera. I had to sell her brothers camearas it was a god send. You can sell the camears but buy your own ones too and if she thinks its a new camera I just say its one i'm trying to sell for your brother. Or thats not my lens its your brothers. Only deep arguments is my studio lights its the bulk .but I have not sold them out of spite in fact mite get another light. she says the lights cost too much .. little does she know how much my fisheye lens cost. Only been caught once mailorder for a new nikon 24mm afd. she saw the cost and tutted.. I think she thinks i have one body F90x and 4 lens in fact I have 2 slr ( F90x and a F3) bodies and 8 lenses. If she wants to pick a argument she refers back to how much it cost - £1500 for F90x 35-1-5mm AFD and a SB26.. well I tend to ignore it .. If you do get caught witha lens .. say its not yours if she finds out it is yours then say it was really cheap and you can sell it for more at anytime.. refrain from saying exactly how much. If you have to say ..tell her it was £100 about the same as a pair of shoes she bought at xmas always make a reference to something she has bought.

If you do sell a lens make sure she knows you sold something ..she will be pleased. BUT do NOT tell her your taking delivery of a new lens the following week or day !!! make sure you pick the lens up your self and have it delivered to your address ..better to have it delivered to your work address. any packaging put them in the attic helps the resale boxed etc

Back to which lens chose the short focal lens if you have to, simply if you want to increase your stock most lens are fairly small .. all lens regardless of focal length look the same when they are small.
