". . . but the levee had a maintenance concern."

Washington State is #2 on Army Corps of Engineers' "Levees of Maintenance Concern" list. This contradicts the impression I have lived under for decades, that Washington State has no levees.

Yes indeed. I think the bottom line in the Corps report/acknowledgment is that if it is raining for 40 days & nights, you should stay away from the Snoqualmie River. I think about half those levees are along it. North Bend will be destroyed when the big one finally hits, which will have a deleterious effect on my hamburger purchasing while en route to The Big City.
