A small confession about blog nicknames

I can't stand them.

Cleverness that ages well is an oxymoron.

And my standards for cleverness (a/k/a "the correct standards") typically don't square with the nicknames even in the beginning.

This has nothing to do with the fact that I have at one time or another in life borne the nicknames "Old Woman" and "Snootie".

Really it doesn't.
