Tonight's turn of phrase

Well, it seems I'm feeling self-indulgent tonight (hard to believe, I know), so here's a choice turn of phrase from a recent email: "it was like the mentality of a straitlaced gentleman who liked to go down to the docks and mix it up with rough sorts and prostitutes."
