Be careful when excoriating TV personalities

At lunch on Thursday with an old friend, I started in on Charles Gibson and his dumb remarks, and it went something like this:

MWR: . . . and then Charles Gibson, you know, Charles Gibson from ABC News . . .

KRA: Yeah, he's my sister's godfather.

MWR: He is?

KRA: Yeah, he was my dad's college roommate.

Fortunately, KRA is used to me going off about whatever I feel like, and certainly not the sort to be offended by even the basest of remarks I might direct against Charles Gibson.
