A most interesting Supreme Court nominee
Or not. Like most, I don't have a strong opinion about Harriet Miers. Even the pronunciation of her name is a bit of a cipher. It's fairly obvious that, as was the case with some past nominations, there are hundreds and hundreds of other people with objectively "better" qualifications than hers, but I guess that's not too surprising. She is unlikely to get a rating of
"extremely well coiffed" from the American Bar Association, but I don't really know more than that.
My early impression is that Bush has done a lot less than he might have to reorient the court. He does not seem to have appointed justices in the mold of Scalia and Thomas.
