"Aieee!!! Get me out of this lake with no outlet that freezes over every winter!!!"


Governor Gregoire has chosen this design for our state quarter. A bit generic, but at least not excessively cluttered. As my friend syp said of one of the losing candidates, "all it needs is a Boeing jet."

I didn't see any jumping salmon when I snowshoed past Reflection Lake a few winters ago. The lake is also much smaller than you would think from looking at the quarter, not that anyone cares.

The lake might be smaller in real life but the fish seem enormous!
