Today's thoughts

It's remarkable, given how many people and religions there are, that so many people manage to be born into the very religion and denomination they end up deciding is the correct one. What are the chances?

Also remarkable is the fact that, in forming their most fundamental views about the universe, so many people are willing to rely on faith to a far greater extent than they ever would when crossing a street (where relying on faith would seem naïve at best, reckless at worst). So when they can put faith to the test, as by looking both ways, they always will, but where faith can't be tested they defer to it unconditionally. Hmm.
