Rhetorical strategies quiz

Which of the following sentences presents the stronger argument?
  1. I'’m moving to Paris with her—life is short and I need to follow my heart.

  2. I knew you were saving that last pint of Häagen-Dazs, but I love that flavor, life is short and I needed to follow my heart.

I know you're not suppose to answer anything 'rhetorical' but I've got a posting addiction and can't stop myself. There's a meeting later that I will try to catch.

I think #2 would be good to have in your back pocket - it seems like something you could use at home and at the office. In the office setting you may need to substitute "Ice cream" for "your lunch" or "Joanie's birthday cake but I think it will translate.
