A word to the wise

How can you know whether the business opportunity to collect business debts on behalf of an offshore enterprise (amounts ranging from $22.5 million down to $12,000) and keep 10% for yourself is too good to be true?

Take a tip from me, Bill Gates and Walt Disney, Jr., cybercrimefighters: Be extra wary if the email purporting to be from a large offshore enterprise originates from the domain "johnmellencamp.com" and carries the following footer:
