What does it even mean?
"Professionally, my 16-megapixel Canon is vastly better than film." - Nathan Myhrvold, writing in the New York Times, June 7, 2006
Now, although it is obvious that Myhrvold will not be selling the products of his vastly superior camera anytime soon, he may also want to avoid writing as a profession. Because what he wrote is no different from saying "my Mac is vastly superior to 5-1/4-inch floppies." But we understand he didn't mean to be comparing a device to a recording medium. What's totally unclear is what he meant by "vastly better than film."
