As the sportscasters say, laxadaisical

Forget about any changes to those running the Mariners, either in the dugout or the front office this winter.

The team is bringing back both general manager Bill Bavasi and manager Mike Hargrove for the 2007 season despite a third consecutive last-place finish this year. A letter sent today to season-ticket holders, signed by chief executive officer Howard Lincoln and chief operating officer Chuck Armstrong, confirms that both Bavasi and Hargrove will be back. - Seattle Times, September 28, 2006
