Does Macy's tell Gimbels? The College of New Jersey to end early admissions.
A week after Harvard abandoned early admissions as a program that puts low-income students at a disadvantage, Princeton followed suit yesterday, saying it hoped other universities would do the same. "I think it's important for there to be momentum, because I think it's the right decision," said Shirley M. Tilghman, Princeton's president. - New York Times, September 19, 2006
I agree with you that I think Harvard will end up with a class that is simply not at strong—period. The top kids will lock it in at another top school that offers early action. (I pray that Princeton doesn't drop EA—we can snag all the top kids for years to come!!). - MWR's old friend, a Princeton Early Action admit and alum, private email, September 15, 2006
