A more useful YouTube

So, if you use Firefox as your browser, which you should, it is a simple matter to download anything you like from YouTube.com and save it on your computer as a .flv (Flash Video) file. Find out the details here.

After you have your .flv file, you can use a freeware conversion utility such as SUPER (Simplified Universal Player, Encoder & Renderer—download it here) to convert the file to a format that plays on Windows Media Player, or to MP3 format. And when you have it in MP3 format, you can add it to your iTunes library. Very cool, considering all the interesting stuff one can find on YouTube.

All this is strictly hypothetical, of course.
