Ever the diplomats at the Washington Post

Lawrence Summers, the embattled president of Harvard University, resigned today after a tumultuous year during which he repeatedly clashed with the faculty at one of the nation's oldest and more prestigious schools. - Washington Post, February 21, 2006

Wouldn't want to go out on a limb or anything.

Or maybe he clashed with the Yale faculty?
