Don't Trust Snakes Adwatch

Currently in heavy rotation here is the first of what I'm sure will be many TV ads during the remainder of my life featuring ethereal/easy-listening/geriatric arrangements of eighties pop songs. It's bound to get ugly over the next 10 to 20 years.

The ad: Kohl's (evidently we are getting these here now . . . pinch me)

The song: "In a Big Country" by Big Country

In other current ads, we have Audrey Hepburn's reanimated corpse shilling for The Gap (set to AC/DC's "Back in Black," but only because that was Audrey Hepburn's favorite song).

And the makers of Tylenol urge you not to overdose on Tylenol . . . even if it means they will sell less Tylenol! Sounds very noble until you consider that if someone's liver fails, they can't buy more Tylenol.
