Surge doubters, take heart!

Here's the reassuring phrase you've been waiting to hear: "Expanded Role for Academics"

What I'm having trouble understanding is how we are going to defeat an "enemy" (in quotes because I mostly don't know what people mean anymore when they use this term in reference to Iraq) that, at this point, doesn't even have to engage us or or offer battle in order to "win". If all you have to do to "win" is keep kidnapping, massacring and blowing up indigenous people, the deck is stacked in your favor.
