Scalpel . . . check. Retractor . . . check. Hamper . . . wha???

Why is there no stigma attached to hospital workers who wear their scrubs home from work and while doing any errands they may have along the way?

These people spend their days leaning over people with contagious diseases. What makes them think their pathogen-laden uniforms are welcome where I buy my food?

Undoubtedly their scrubs are were originally intended to be left at the hospital and laundered commercially. They often have laundry marks. Indeed, from the hospital's perspective, maybe it's unhygenic for people to come to work in scrubs that have brushed up against MWR and God knows what else at the supermarket the night before.

My message to the medical profession: they call them street clothes for a reason--change into some.

Never mind the way seeing a person in one of those outfits makes my heart rate go up, in expectation of getting a shot or having my blood pressure squeezed out of my arm with one of those horrible velcro torture things...

I totally agree with you!!!!
