I'm sure Cambridge, Mass. also has the best townies

Lovely Cambridge, Massachusetts is now home to the top two universities in the world, according to The Times Higher Education Supplement ranking of the world's top 200 universities. The top ten:
  1. Harvard University

  2. Massachusetts Institute of Technology

  3. Cambridge University (UK)

  4. Oxford University (UK)

  5. Stanford University

  6. University of California, Berkeley

  7. Yale University

  8. California Institute of Technology

  9. Princeton University

  10. École Polytechnique (France)
The Institute of Higher Education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University ranked the world's top 500 universities, with this top ten:
  1. Harvard University

  2. Cambridge University (UK)

  3. Stanford University

  4. University of California, Berkeley

  5. Massachusetts Institute of Technology

  6. California Institute of Technology

  7. Columbia University

  8. Princeton University

  9. University of Chicago

  10. Oxford University (UK)
Meanwhile, the well-known U.S. News and World Report rankings of National Universities in the U.S. has this top ten:
  1. Harvard University

  2. Princeton University

  3. Yale University

  4. University of Pennsylvania
  1. Duke University
  1. Stanford University
  1. California Institute of Technology
  1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  1. Columbia University
  1. Dartmouth College
I see a trend. Oh, the Times Higher Education Supplement has Penn at number 32 and Dartmouth at number 117. And all without consulting me.
