How come you don't want to switch to Gmail?
I have no stake in which email service people use, but I'm baffled by the inertia that keeps people with emails ending in yahoo.com, hotmail.com, comcast.net and, most remarkably, aol.com. It takes so little effort to change an email address and send a quick note to all your contacts. Gmail now has a wizard that will automatically configure your Outlook or Outlook Express email client. Who wouldn't want to be able to do Google searches on all their old email messages (even deleted ones)—Ever try to search for an old message using Outlook? Who wouldn't want the superior spam filtering of Gmail? You'd be hard-pressed to look at a Hotmail inbox and find evidence of spam filtering, in my experience. Etc.
If you are worried about seeing a few targeted ads and use Firefox (something else I've wisely encouraged from time to time), you can block these using the Customize Google extension. That extension provides other nice little benefits too. You should check it out. But first switch to Gmail.
